Weekly news bulletin – 13/09/18


Now the weather is cooling down, hot lunches will be being served again from Monday 17th.

Saturday 15th September: Jane Austen Promenade:

The Jane Austen Promenade takes place on Saturday 15th September. It starts at 11:00am at the Royal Crescent and finishes at 12:30pm at the Parade Gardens. Expect parking restriction and road closures. More details can be found at http://www.janeaustenfestivalbath.co.uk/promenade.

Friday 21st September: Rob Mead Golf Day:

Following the success of last year’s event which raised approximately £1200 for Dorothy House, a golf day is being arranged at Lansdown Golf Club in memory of Rob Mead (first tee 12:00am). The Wally trophy will also be played for on the day.

We are looking for approximately 10 teams of 4, friends and family of Rob if possible. The entry fee is £35:00 per person (we can make up teams from individual entries if you’d like) or £140.00 per team of 4 (4 ball Bowmaker best two scores to count on each hole) to include, bacon roll and coffee on arrival, green fees, two course meal and prize presentation afterwards, a raffle and auction.

Full handicap maximum 28, (men) 36 for ladies (please indicate if you or any of your team are members of Lansdown G.C.)

Any raffle/auction prizes or donations would be greatly appreciated.  All funds raised on the day will be donated to Dorothy House, Robs favoured charity.

Harington Club members, Rob’s family and friends are welcome to attend the dinner only, 2 courses £16.00 per person, dining 5pm.

Sunday 23rd September: Dartmouth Trip:

Anyone that would like to come on the club day out to Dartmouth on the 23rd September, please call Jo or put your names down on the notice board. Pick up is at 9am in Queens Square, returning back to Bath for 9pm. All welcome for a fun day out! Only £25 per person.

Friday 19th October: Club Dinner:

The annual club dinner will be held at Woods on Friday 19th October, starting at 7:30pm. A list is on the notice board, so get your name on it now. Tickets are on sale at £30.00 per head at the club.

Raffle Tickets for Dorothy House:

This is the last week to buy raffle tickets for the Rob Mead, Dorothy House appeal. The draw for this will be held at the Rob Mead Golf Day on 21st September.

New Year’s Eve:

Come and join us to see in the new year at the Harington. Tickets are just £5, there will be a buffet on the night and drinks promotions. The more the merrier!
